Sucker Punch Pictures presents The Last One with moonshiner Popcorn Sutton
If there can exist such a thing as a famous moonshiner, it’s Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton.
I dunno how I’ve avoided knowing about this film for a year, but now that I do, I’m in hot pursuit of a copy. (Click through to check out the trailer.)
It’s tempting to tell his story here for those who aren’t familiar with it. But I think this is one of those times when you’re better off deciding for yourself how much you wanna spoil in advance of seeing the film.
So if you’re interested (and with the disclaimer of MAJOR SPOILER ALERTS) you’ll find no shortage of info elsewhere about Sutton’s life, his legal troubles, or his autobiography.
